Organize your life, and make it easier!

It’s 8:00a.m.,dishes still in the sink from dinner last night, bottles unwashed, laundry piled up, toys scattered across the floor. *sigh* The overwhelming feeling stress pours over me. Why does it seem like I can never catch up unless it’s Saturday? – If I’m lucky.

In the past I have had amazing track record of being unbelievably unorganized. To clarify, I know how to organize, but it takes about three days before things are out of place again. My excuse has always been, “I’m just too busy! I don’t have time to keep organized. I need to get in and out the door.” I will state that I often bite off more than I can chew which could play a large role in this issue. Being unorganized sometimes causes me to be late for appointments which is a huge problem.  In the big scheme of things, being unorganized has caused even more stress than I was already experiencing because of my busy life.

Luckily, I have an amazing boy-friend who is extremely neat and organized by nature. My habits drive him nuts, to say the least. J He does a lot around the house, but usually works a 60-hour work week.

Recently, I have made a commitment to change my ways. I am determined to break this horrible habit and not only find ways how to organize, but find ways to STAY organized. They say it takes 21 days to break a habit. Only time will tell if I am able to break mine.

I found this awesome video about how to organize different parts of your home. She is amazing! And, needs to come to my house ASAP.

  1. Great post! As a father of two boys (6 and 2) I can totally relate. Having kids takes up so much time and there is no priority that is higher than being a parent. As a result, stuff (like organizing) often gets pushed aside.

  2. I agree with you completely! It feels like a never ending cycle and everyone else seems to be doing it better. I swear dishes are my enemy. I love the video though, thanks for sharing!
As a new mom by chance (I have custody of my Nephew) and my bestie a mom by choice we have to get out and relax! The dishes can wait :)
