This past year, I have been a full-time student at Walsh College, working part-time 5 days a week, and attending regular board meetings for Warren Consolidated Schools where I am a board member on the Board of Education, all while adjusting to new life raising a little one. Working out and eating right hasn't been the first thing on my mind. Just eating anything once or twice a day was good enough for me as long as I got at least 6 hours of sleep. I am excited to announce that I should be graduating after the summer 2016 semester with my BBA. After graduation, I plan on obtaining a full-time position at General Motors. At this point in time, I should be making enough money to where we don't have to live pay check to pay check any longer, and have the ability to have more time for myself. But, enough of my excuses! - No matter how valid they might be. Here's a few ways I am going to start turning over a new leaf and bring healthy living back into my life.
I think a great goal to make is to begin by incorporating Grace into my workouts! Babies need your constant love and attention; they need to be entertained. My daughter loves walks in her stroller. Now that we are seeing some warm weather, I could start my warm up by taking a quick stroll with her around our block. I found this great YouTube video that shows great examples of how to feel the burn at home while entertaining your baby at the same time.
This woman is an inspiration! I will have to make a point to subscribe to her YouTube page. She demonstrates some very doable home work outs with her baby.

Another great idea I can do to get my daily nutrients is to make smoothies each day. The smoothies can contain various kinds of frozen fruit, avocado for texture, a small amount of orange juice for liquidity, organic plain yogurt, spinach and kale. Last, but not least, I need to make sure I drink enough water during the day. My goal is to finish a gallon of water per day. There will be lots of bathroom breaks, but it's very important that the body stays hydrated. Water also helps the body expel toxins. So, cheers to that!
Sounds like you have a solid plan! I'm working on the meal prep and working out every day. Getting started is the hardest part!
ReplyDeleteThat is so true! I will have to remember that. Once you start going you probably get used to a routine. #gottostartsomewhere #goals
DeleteI've been seeing a lot of workout videos incorporating children. I've seen men and woman incorporate their children into their workout. Not only is this good for the parents but the children too. I think continuing to do this throughout the kids life can create good athletic habits.
ReplyDeleteYes, I totally agree, good point. It's a fun and positive action that you can make being a normal part of daily life. #positivevibes
